well today I had to have a meeting with my boss. It was a crappy meeting and I didnt like it. Every time it'smore of "you come off as cocky and think you are smarter than people" I have heard that all my life. This earns you a Ray Dujak story, of which I have dozens. Ray retired about 15 years ago and was one of the most interesting people I ever met.

Once, he got hauled down to Congress to testify. This must have been in the early 1980s, around the time that GTE bought Telenet. Ray was asked something about FCC merger policy. He started his reply with "WelI, we are mindful of synergistic concatenations ..." at which point the congressman's eyes bugged out. Nobody asked any followup questions.

And I worked with a lawyer who, during a trial, accused AT&T of deprecating on the record. The stenographer didn't know that word and substituted a similar word in the transcript. Third letter "f". Needless to say, that gem got passed around the office.
