Um, do you have a different meaning for family jewels than I do?
We got married on the Fourth of July. If you pick a national holiday that always is celebrated on the same day each year, then 1) you probably get the day off; 2) always have something to do; and 3) you and others likely will remember your anniversary.
So, think Christmas, New Years, July 4th and -- umm -- maybe that is it. Inauguration day might be a set day but only every fourth year. Probably Maggie will want to celebrate more frequently than that.

in anycase I think I am pretty good at remembering dates like that. Our anniversary of starting our relationship is May 1st which even though it isnt a holiday here, the rest of the world takes the day off to watch missile parade through the street
