Well that was a fun couple of days. I have now seen two more counties in Ireland that I had not seen before, and I must say Ireland continues to be a beautiful country. The in-laws are now moved from North City Dublin to Longford town. Their new house is huge. Anyway I managed to write both on the train ride up to and the train ride back from ( Read more... )

Longford seemed really nice. It was really clean and I liked the look of it. I imagine we will hear all about it as my in-laws discover all the secrets. And I am looking forward to visiting them. And man the rent is really cheap for really big houses.

The couple times I've been over there, I've been amazed at how much diversity of terrain and urbanicity they manage to pack on that little island. Everything from rolling green hills covered in sheep to big craggy mountains, from little hamlets with 12 houses to Dublin, and everything in between. And unlike in, say, AK, you can drive between those things in just a few hours. Neat...
