Well I am finally making a new post to my lj. I have started my third week of work and everything is going well. I get to play a little with the menu and can do dinners in the restaurant for 50 in three hours so not to bad. The rust is officially, gone and well I honestly sweeted it off quickly. Well the interview went well. And several hours later I had a job. Will be starting on Friday at the Commodore Hotel in Cobh. Currently a two star restaurant that is working on getting its third star. They do five starters, five main courses, and five desserts daily ( Read more... )

Dinner was not made, headache precluded me from cooking culinary delight tonight. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Dinner tonight was smoked oyster joint of pork. I am going to have to pull out the books and figure out where the oyster on a pig is. Anyway I digress, the joint was boiled for about an hour to take off the excess salt flavor. So upon arriving in Ireland I we had to go shopping and buy groceries and lots of other stuff. Well we picked up steaks or maybe it was a roast anyway it was beef. And it was fantastic. The flavor was better the color of the meat before cooking looked better, and well it was a much better cut of meat than I was really expecting. Ireland is not ( Read more... )

So I went and did it, I now have a live journal account. Going to actually post to this one as my web page never did take off.
