Reason to smile about work

Today my district manager said to my store manager "I like her, she's smart." about me. He said this after I ran some reports for him and did some other things that he had asked for. I wasn't there when he said it but was told about it later. It just made me feel good, like all of my hard work wasn't going unnoticed. I was also told that last ( Read more... )

It's especially nice that he said it when you weren't around, that way you know he didn't just say it to say it. Is there any way to move up where you're at? Could you get promoted to something?

Yay for you! :) Also nice that you were told about it. I worked on a project with someone (who later became a friend) and she said nice things about me to my boss who NEVER RELAYED THE MESSAGE, which sucks. So good that you're being noticed by the people who count.

I second that! It's nice that when you do something for the 'big guy' that it doesn't go unnoticed and you're being recognized by someone of authority. Great Job!
