Why trunk-or-treats killed Halloween
Nowadays, it is much more in vogue to take your kids to a Trunk or Treat event. This may be at church, at the little league field, at your job, or somewhere else you know. Supposedly, it's safer.
That's what they want you to think. But in reality it is eroding our culture.

Life Goals
--Become debt free: this means paying off the car and the timeshare; I anticipate the car will be paid in a year I hope. The timeshare is getting there though I'll always have maintenance dues

Facebook Doesn't Want Me to Travel
So I, unlike many, typically use Facebook on either my laptop or my tablet. I don't have a smartphone. So back in March I went over to Kissimmee to spend a week at the timeshare. Birthday Thoughts

So I have been slowly working on getting my second bedroom together. There are a couple of other things I need to finish as far as the house goes, but the second bedroom is my main focus. Hospital Again
Right now I am sitting in a room in Lakeland Regional Medical Center. My grandmother is sleeping with oxygen being pushed into her through a calendula. She has been in the hospital for over two weeks now. They sent her to rehab for a day but that didn't go so well so she went right back into the hospital. So I drove down on Wednesday. I got to cross Lake Pontchartrain on the way in. I knew it was big but I never realized just how big. Now I understand. I arrived at the hotel and checked in.
