She's a bit sad about leaving her Pre-K class... but she is really excited about going somewhere new. She is super excited about getting to meet her only female cousin (who just happens to be only 7 months older than she is!)... and there is Disneyland, Legoland.... all the rest of the fun stuphs in CA to look forward to.

She was more upset at the idea of moving even further away from my parents which means we won't get to go visit them as often.. but we are stopping to see them for a little bit as we drive out to CA so that seems to make it better. Not that they are "close" to us now in Oklahoma!

I've promised to take pictures of her class and such so we can take them with us and she even wants to send the class postcards from California after we move.

Sadly we aren't having any luck finding a preschool/pre-k program out there that isn't full. So she might just be at home with me for the rest of the school year and go to Kindergarten at the beginning of the next school year.

Ah girl...I'm sorry you have to pack up AGAIN, but I'm glad that Mallora's being a big girl and seeing the bright side. LEGOLAND!! Hell, I'm coming to visit! We'd never get Aidan out of there! *L*

I wish you much luck with packing (I'm sure you're a pro by now) and with the move itself. Drop a line when you get back on the comp!

We'll miss you!

It's funny.. she was telling my nephews all about it too they just looked at their mother (the Viking's sister) and said, "Mom... Legoland.... we ARE going to visit them."
They are 9 and 10. lol

Luckily I don't really have to do much. The moving company will pack what we haven't and moves it all for us. We just have to pack up ourselves, the things we'll need, the cats, the kids and some snacks and hit the road.
Drive through and have breakfast/lunch with my parents and head to CA to wait for our things to arrive!

I feel almost lazy not having to pack the whole house!

YAY for moving! It's always exciting, starting over new somewhere. At least, I thought it was. And you'll be close enough I can drive down for lunch after you get settled in. :)

We've been trying to look at it as an adventure. Mallora is excited about getting to see her only girl cousin who lives south of L.A.

You'd be welcome to come down for lunch. Just be warned the kids will most likely pounce you.... as they do with any and all visitors to the house!

Kidlet pouncing is always welcomed. :) I usually bring shiny and/or fuzzy and/or edible things as bribes, too. ;)

Just found your LJ and noticed the ton of interests we have in common--got all excited about finding a cool person in DeKalb and then read this post about you moving. So, hello and best of luck on your move.
