One of my favorite authors, Neil Gaiman, has become the political football du jour, caught in the middle of a firestorm of criticism. So… There’s this website that some of my author friends have their hackles up over. It is the personal website of gentleman that has put his entire e-book collection up on the web, and thrown it open as a lending library. There's a shiny new call out for submissions for an upcoming anthology for Blood Bound Press. They are looking for short stories inspired by music, and as you might be able to tell from the press name, they definitely skew towards horror and dark fantasy, which is fine by me. We can has good news!
After some setbacks, it looks like the Dia de los Muertos anthology is back on track! Whoo-Hoo! I sold them the story last year and it looks like I'll be seeing it in print sometime this year. Rumor has it the editor has been fighting cancer, good on her for fighting the good fight and winning. I'm very, very excited to see this project finally ( Read more... ) -
This Just Bugs Me
It's pretty obvious that Facebook uses some fancy schmancy analysis software when determining some of the ads to show you (not all, I think. some of them are just too broad).
