Change of pace...
Last night (Monday) I went out with Tim and his friends for one of his friend's birthdays...met lots of interesting people...a couple I knew...and most I didn't lol but thats ok! I'm up for meeting new people anytime. We went to a restaurant called Sammy J Peppers which has some pretty good chicken stir-fry...salad wasn't too bad either. A downer was we were sitting in a section where the big screen wasn't really all too visible, the big canucks game vs the avalanche were playing, so we heard lots of people from the bar area going nuts over the game's poor score and the constant fights breaking out, one in particular which was Bertuzzi sucker-punching the guy who took out Naslund..*sighs* such violence....too bad he's gone for the rest of this part of the season...we do have lots to take his place. But anyways, for a lot of the night there were a few of us who's attention seemed to be fixed on our cell phones (3 of us had the same phone with that push-push game..if you have the phone...you know how addicting it is...and if you haven't tried that game...you will know once you try it to see how addictive it can be) we got evil glares and many comments so we found it best to stop playing our cell phone games...aww and I almost had the level I'm stuck on beat by someone else! boo on you people ;)
Well, after SJP, we headed over to Tim's friends place for a bit of poker...someone threw on a scary movie that involved hacking up people so I was sitting with my back to the tv as much as possible...and trying hard to keep attention to the game instead of any sounds or comments made by those watching it.
Today started out quite relaxing...got up early....got to watch a full episode of SuperGALS, and then I went to work...and walking in the door...everyone had smiles.....but within about 2 seconds....I felt the heavy atmosphere...it was like as if everyone was told we were all fired or something...really stupid...anyways...turns out we had ran out of doughnuts (omg...KK ran out of doughnuts.....how can that be??) so I guess I missed everything up to that point...and tried to be the chipper acting one...well..as the day progressed everyone seemed to come around....thankfully...I hated that atmosphere....seemed like I was the only one TRYING to enjoy my work. Through helping lots of my co-workers out today, I think it kinda helped them out and then brightened up...but yeah....the morning was SO wrong feeling. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!
In other news, for the last 45 mins of my shift...got trained on specialty drinks...that was fun ^-^ didn't even notice it was time to leave when my manager came over and told me to go home lol that was cool, hope I can learn more on that area soon so I don't forget it all!
I got a visit from Katie today! She thought I was off work because my shifts last week had all been 5am-1pm...but this week is different....and next week will probably be different as well...I miss my 5am shifts...luckily sat & sun are both 5:30...I love driving in the dead of night time...its so...peaceful..I don't mind walking to my car from my house because the feeling...I dunno...something about it ^-^ yes I'm weird....moving right along
After work, I picked up doughnuts for karen...and a couple for myself since they didn't have her raspberry filled ones. I finally got out of there and on my way home around 5:25ish and finally made it home around 6....only to go back out in hopes of picking up the dvds that were sent to me..(2 thumbelina 1 for me 1 for karen, and 1 of i'll be there or something for Karen, and yes we're living in our childhood again with Thumbelina but its such a nice show...and the music is cute ^-^) and find out the post office was closed at 5:30....*cries* I have to wait till tomorrow after work...oh well...I'm going there as soon as I get off work to get that out of the way...and then probably see Tim right after since its on the way to his work ^-^ yay!
Anyways, I think I'll end this now, my body is telling me to go to bed ...and its only 11..*sighs*
