To maintain an at least surviving mental condition, I must take ten minutes or so away from my work to write out my financial anxieties. I haven't even thought about money since I've been here. And suddenly it dawned on me, I still haven't taken out a private loan for second semester because dad said to wait until fall break to see what other ( Read more... )

i'm actually really glad you're starting to REALIZE the value of a dollar. bryn mawr is INSANELY expensive, but you love it so much so really i think it's up to you.

you should at least go this year and then decide. i think that will decide things for you on its own.

oh, and although $76,000 is a lot of money, it's relative. even if you started at an entry level teaching position with your major (which i realize is the last thing you wanna do with your major) you'd still make at least $25,000 a year. so it would only take you like 5 or 6 years to pay that off, if you dedicated yourself. that's nothing.. i mean you wouldn't be GAINING a lot, but at least you'd be putting out the financial flame.

it's def. doable.

I have realized the value of the dollar since I got accepted into college. This financial anxiety was on my mind all summer.
