Well... for the first time yesterday I actually got to talk to that guy.  There was a new admit and when I first interacted with her I had a good feeling.  The nurses had warned me that she was needy and demanding.  They also warned me that there was a male admit that was very rude and sarcastic.  I think I threw him for a loop when he griped at me
