New Fic: Prelude to a Kiss (Switched at Birth)

So, I have this new obsession, ABC Family's Switched at Birth. Fic was inevitable, the fact that it's based on a het pairing is a little more surprising. In any case, here's my first attempt at capturing the show.

YAY! I love how you wrote his thought process..I really think that his talk with Daphne is what made he see that he has feeling for Bay. They were both hung up on the hearing/ not hearing part of it and his making the first move ( in a super hot/sweet kiss) is what will allow them to be together.

I am really looking forward to seeing where the show goes with this pairing. I think it could be a fascinating look at how deaf people and hearing people can be in relationships together, the struggles and the triumphs.

I do think he was definitely hung up on the hearing/deaf thing. I think she was hung up on Ty. *g* I think now she'll think differently; that was definitely a sweet kiss!

Nice, even though the idea is still a bit... I don't know... I just need to get used to them as a couple I think, and I could really start liking them... :) We'll see! The "problem" is that I loved Bay from the start, and also Emmett... *lol* and toby... they should make a threesome *coughs* Whatever... sweet story!

I suspect the show is going to give you some time next week to get used to them as a couple. :-) I really hope they'll grow on you. My friends keep telling me there's nothing wrong with being into both a slash pairing and a het pairing on a show, even if each pairing has one person in common. :-)

You're welcome!! I am so glad you liked it. I do hope that Bay understands how hard this is for him and what a conflict from his beliefs his attraction to her presents. I am not sure she quite yet realises what a bias he has against hearing people. I am also looking forward to the obvious issues they will have, including communication and the fact that her parents will not be thrilled she is involved with him.
