Back from our holiday having had a fab time and a lovely Easter weekend. Trying to catch up on work but will post properly when I get time!

Just listening to the 20 year memorial service of the Hillsborough disaster at Anfield with tears in my eyes. I remember that day so well - I was 18, listening to commentary of a Chelsea game on the radio in the pub with my boyfriend and as the reports of the disaster came through we sat in utter disbelief .... this was football, the game we loved ( Read more... )

Another couple of busy days.

Yesterday I was doing the call answering till 12.30pm, then had an invitation to visit the local special needs school who were holding a Cream Tea Party to thank local businesses for giving work experience places to some of the Year 11 students. Been busy so far this week. Yesterday I was doing call answering all morning, then got my magazines out to most of the shops in the afternoon. Popped in to see Mum and ended up smashing up an old wardrobe for her and taking it to the tip. Did something very stupid yesterday - I accidentally turned on the wrong cooker element (hate electric hobs) and didn't realise that I'd reheated the oil in the frying pan from Dan's breakfast egg. Moved the pan to the sink to wash it and slopped boiling hot oil all over my fingers. Ouch. So incredibly painful. Of course, I did all this whilst ( Read more... )
