Thanks for the advice regarding textbooks! If you're all saying half.com/amazon.com are legit i'll go with it. My school obviously wasn't too .. good with posting their books, half of my classes still don't have books listed, and my communications book says the publication date should be 2009. Hm

Regarding the textbook issue, I don't know about your school, but here a lot of people wait until the first day/weekish of classes and the professors tell them what books they need. (i'm kind of anal and if my books aren't listed online i'll shoot the professor an email and ask.) So if you can't find any that might work.

And I'm still living at home, but I've sent a few friends off to college (haha). Some things they stock up on are:
-plastic storage (little drawers or bins that are light and easy to move)
-extra printer ink
-dry snacks, nuts, trail mix in bulk (cheaper and it will last)
-i don't know how the bathrooms are at your school, but cheap flip-flops for the shower if they're questionable on cleanliness
-something to carry your toiletries to and from the bathroom

um. can't think of anything else now. maybe lots of extra hangers? i find that i'm always running out of them, even at home.
