you get to hear this because i can't say it to my sister yet or really even my mom or my dad... or anyone else that it pertains too... i can't sleep, which is odd for me and its because my sister who is getting married keeps popping in my head. what i am about to type has no real dependance upon me being her maid of honor or how happy i truly am

you're mom is amazing becuase she wants to be an integral part of your life, and will do anything for you. Its hard to get all of that out there when you are put on the spot like that, and it is crushing to hear someone talk about someone so important. Everyone makes mistakes, its the good ones of us that look past them to the real person.
