I have just realized the following:

I have been part of a very sneaky and deceptive plot.

Lindsay, in a seemingly innocent manner, talked me into watching the Harry Potter movies.  Why?  According to her, so I "can at least start to understand why it's so great."

The real reason?  To suck me into a world of magic from whence I can never return.

Ha Ha! I could've told you that was going to happen. Good luck with trying to cope, knowing that you're going to be waiting for quite a while for the conclusion of the series!!! P.S.- Yea, I knew about the plan the whole time ;)
