Update the rules.

Can we please get an updated set of rules complete so we can update the userinfo? When I reject posts I get messages like "well, it wasn't in the rules". I know it must be a bugger for the rest of the mods to have to explain the rule update situation

I love this list. I expanded bits here and there and tried to make it a bit clearer, and i know a few people agreed with the idea of having a rules section and like, a manners section, so i split it into two bits just as like, another one to look over and integrate/whatever.

Rules Regarding Posting:

1. Do Not Advertise.
This includes but is not limited to the advertisement of Communities, websites, eBay/auction links, and personal merchandise selling.

2. Do not post things that are invasive or inappropriate in regards to the band’s personal lives.
This includes but is not limited to phone numbers, girlfriends and wives, addresses, stalker videos or photos, personal photos.

3. Read at least one page back on the community to avoid re-posting or re-stating recently discussed information.

4. Do not post Graphics, Fiction, or Layout.

5. Do not post things that are off topic or aren’t that relevant or useful.
Billy Corgan isn’t in MCR, and nobody cares that they played ‘I’m Not Okay,’ on One Tree Hill.

6. Do not Post Rumours.

*shrug* Either way. I don't know if Skyline and Kubagirl want it on there. If you feel we should leave it off, then that's cool. If they wish it otherwise, they'll let us know.

it's not completely shut off to members. they just have to find someone to vouch for them and skyline will let them in. i think it's worthwhile keeping it on there :D

there is really no point in including zomgmcrrumors, unless they've magically decided to open up membership and aren't paranoid anymore. And mcrumorcontrol only has on R at the beginning :)

You're right. I thought everyone should know their options, but I guess it's okay to take it off. If Skyline and Kubagirl want it on, they'll let us know.

The maintainer, Ellie, was supposed to tag important posts. Moderators don't have the power to tag posts. Ellie's in college and very busy, so it may be a while before she gets around to doing it. However, posters can tag their own posts if they wish. If that's something that the community is interested in doing. :)

Tags would be good! And also for graphics/fan art we can redirect people to mcr_icons and mcr_layouts

Both communities allow all kind of graphics and art.

definitely link all pointless/useless posts to mcrf! i'm so sick of those posts now.

can we maybe add something about repeat posts too? cos i've seen three repeats go in this week. members should look at whats been posted already before putting in a submission that's unnecesary.

Check back entries is already there. I agree. Repeats are hella annoying.
