All I want for Christmas is... some adequate heating! I know it could be a whole lot worse, but it could sure be a whole lot better too. I'm wearing a coat and winter hat INSIDE! I look like a South Park kid. The heater we do have is a crappy wall unit heater. It's on full blast but it's still freezing in here. And I am not the type who gets ( Read more... )

I think I spotted you in the addme_adult group too.
Not all the Marines are like that! I've met some who weren't super-macho. I haven't watched Jarhead but I thought the author wasn't so keen on the war?

I'm not sure about the author of Jarhead. It's quite possible. I know all Marines aren't bad, unfortunately I seem to meet the wrong ones. I also work with a lot of former Marines who are now in the Army. I think those are the worst kind. They didn't like the Marines enough to stay, but still use it as an "I'm better than you" whenever possible.
