I know its been awhile since I was able to write. I don't have the time now either, but I'm making the time. This week for me has been full of surprises. Congrats! And keep in mind--Pella is off of interstate highway 80, so it's a couple hours east to get to Chicago, and a couple hours west to get to Des Moines (which has a Borders and a two-story Barnes and Noble). Iowa also has a gold plated capital building--either 14 charat or 24 charat, I forget which. I'm not joking--and don't look at the roof at noon.

Hm...Iowa...You will be reasonably close to a couple Amish communities, so I recommend going over and purchasing some Amish wine--The dandelion wine is usually pretty good, but avoid the grape wine since it's mediocre at best. I'm told the plum wine is delicious.

Be sure to eat some "peaches and cream" corn (it's insanely sweet), and try not to kill yourself while eating a normal sized (read: gigantuan) meal when eating out.

And remember that the higher octane gasoline is cheaper than the lower octane variety due to the use of ethanol. Hey, what else are they gonna do with all that corn?

Have a good trip!

I had a great trip. But I did get lost on the highways out to Des Moines. But I got to see more of Iowa that way. I liked Pella as well, it was a nice town. I'm hoping to get this one. They have an awesome festival of Tulips in the summer that reminds me of the Beaufort Water festival. ^_^
