The only thing we can say about personal histories is this: They are each subjected to the whimsical folly of memory, loosely stored in protein synthesis pathways and chemical signaling cascades.

I still adore this passage so much that I just CAN'T EVEN. *______* Simply stunning.

Also, each scene kind of made me feel like I was looking at the photos of just the two of them, all in sepia and intimate; little stories half-told.
