Slightly embarassed, but I don't know what 'spick' and 'kike' even are. I don't really care though, if they're grouped with 'nigger' and 'fag', they don't need to be part of my vocab.

Nah, don't be embaressed hun, and you should know what they mean just so you can recognize if some asshole says either of them.

Spick or Spic is a derogatory term directed towards Hispanics. It was believed to be derived from "spiggoty," meaning "no speak english."

Kike was derived from "Kyke" which means self hating jew in yiddish. Those who are prejudace took it upon themselves to use it as a hateful insult towards Jewish people.

I use fag. And gay. And I really couldn't give a shit who gets offended. If they can't understand that I don't say it to offend every homosexual person in the world, then they are idiots.

Over all, people need to take a chill pill. I can understand getting upset when people are trying to offend you with one of those words. I don't understand having a fucking heart attack over it when it was said as a joke. I say, get over it.

your logic is that people should not get offended because you say it as a "joke". how exactly is it a joke? if you say: "that guy is so fucking gay" in place of "that guy is so fucking stupid"... the underlying message is extremely clear and is as follows:

homosexuality="gay"=stupid=dumb=bad=wrong

around 1/10 of people are born homosexual. so there is usually an audience that can personalize your use of the word "gay". with all this in mind, i think you can see why many people find it offensive. no one enjoys being at a disadvantage simply because of the genetic code they receive before birth. the usage of this word contributes to the larger social climate that is generally inhospitable towards homosexuality and causes unnecessary psychological damage to be inflicted upon a large portion of society.

now it is certainly your right to be offensive and contribute to other people's detriment with your words. but perhaps you would like to avoid those things. its not very difficult. i bet you could do it without a thesaurus too.

Yeah, I hear a lot of bashing against jewish people at my school unfortunately. I even had one boy say, "It's actually a great thing that Hitler existed because the world's already enough over populated."

Yes, it is suprising. Especially to me because I've seen fag at least in tons of people's journals. I think what happens is people overlook that word and don't really even realize they've said it.

Yeah, those words are much more fun, and they don't offend anyone in the same way as any of these words. <3
