Joe and I left the house shortly after 5 this morning to go get in line at Best Buy for a Wii. It was incredibly cold and my toes were pretty much frozen by the time the manager came out to hand out tickets at 8am. We ended up getting ticket #43 out of 45 and our friends who were there with us got tickets too so we were all incredibly happy. Of

Oh man, I'm happy your Wii story ended up all good. I want a Wii pretty badly, but I can't afford one until after the holidays. boo-urns.

Luckily we live in a smaller city where everyone was pretty calm about the whole thing. Even the college kids that were in line, while annoying, were thankfully not too disorderly.

If I still lived in Chicago there would have been no way I would have even tried to get in line anywhere!

At least after the holidays you will be able to get everything you want/need for the Wii all at once and not have to hunt down extra accessories or worry about the store running out of the game you want. :)

perryowenwright and i camped out for 12 hours at our local target to get one. totally and completely worth the wait. it's AMAZING. we got two and an extra controller for each.

wii sports blows my MIND it's so good, and i picked up the super monkey ball game and of course, zelda.

I am SO JEALOUS!
We couldn't get ours today, but are tracking our local stores (they update the inventory, online!). I'm hoping this weekend I can get my hands on one! It looks like each store got about 40, so it's not nearly as bad as the XBox, or PS3.
