both night terrors and sleep paralysis are thought to be affected by drug use, but the causes are pretty mysterious.,
what is out of the ordinary is that oyu remember nothing other than waking up gasping for breath and shaking, but if you were to scream or sweat then you know you surely had a night terror.
read into them, i used to get them years ago when i smoked weed regularly, they stopped when i quit smoking.
could be something completely different for you though.

when you have an apnea episode, you stop breathing, so your brain wakes up your body suddenly to try and get oxygen. ask your bf if he notices you being extremely quiet right before you wake up gasping. i used to think apnea was loud snoring, but the dangerous part is actually when you are quiet, that's when you are not breathing.
are you really tired during the day? sleep apnea can cause a lot of problems, so if you think you might have it, definitely get it check out!
