I go to a campus doctor and they're much more willing to give out any Rx to get you out of their office. T3 for a toothache? I used to be on ambien for sleep but switched to xanax.

I personally LOVE benadryl, but as most people've said, it is not to be fucked with unless you know you can handle it.

The best way to get sleeping meds is to complain of OCCASIONAL sleeplessness, say you've tried OTC pills and that they help but your tolerance is obviously increasing. Say you want something to use 1-2 times a week so your tolerance doesn't increase and they'll keep you on it for longer. It's necessary to keep track of your pills and ask for a refill at the right time so they don't suspect you of abuse. If they give you 10 and say it should last 10 weeks it should last 10 weeks. People who use sleep meds daily are more likely to be taken OFF of them and referred to a sleep clinic for therapy. As my doctor said "the people who can never sleep are the people who don't need sleep meds." It's also good to say that you have tried adjusting your behavior patterns (only using the bed for sleep or sex, not going on the computer for an hour before bed, keeping the lights low before bed, going to sleep and/or waking up at the same time, etc) but "some nights nothing will work. I just get into a terrible anxious cycle 'what if I don't get ( ... )

Thank you for everything, as I have said somewhere else, I have similar symptoms anyway, but nothing I would seek out a doctor for. So keeping my story straight should be far easier.

Thank you for all the help and hopefully I can go and pick something up. :)
