today while browsing facebook i happened upon a friend lamenting the death of a faculty member of Carnegie Melon, Randy Pausch. I decided to wiki this guy to see who he was. So, they found out that I know my compass directions, how to instruct someone to go left and right, and how to read a ruler, that makes me intelligent enough to work in the field. so it's day 3 of the new job. there is a lot to be said. I'm happy to report that so far the worst thing i can report is boredom. Fortunately/unfortunately, they've hired me before they were probably ready for me. Also, I'm not a "employee" yet, have to prove myself apparently.
