Oh on the point abt character death, at least "ai" has some continuity as it's written into the story. Well u can't expect all the characters to stay on for so long honestly.
Yeahh only those really popular one will stay. Coz they can push up viewer rates, and the actors get to earn a freaking lot too :D
Lol but apparently for 爱, there's this actress 六月 who suddenly had to go film another show, so her character 安安 suddenly disappears to Italy. Then the funny part comes when the father appeared later in the series and kept talking about wanting to reunite with the whole family, all 4 of them including the wife and the 2 children. But he kept mentioning 安安 and nobody else seem to mention that she wasn't there. And when 六月 finally returns from her filming to join back the cast, her whole family had been writen out already. So she ended up with a totally new character LOL. Funny funfact which I forgot to mention above.
