I've been found out!! I'm afraid I'm very very predictable but I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway despite knowing that it was me~ whenever I encounter a new au to try out, they're defs the first pair I think of to use. they just have such an interesting dynamic that it's hard to ignore what kind of push-pull shenanigans they'd get up to in different situations~ and gosh I'm not mad at all about your comment - it's too kind!! I'm sorry I never write bottom!jongdae, but maybe one day in the future, who knows. it's a good idea.

and gosh!! I'm so glad you enjoyed the plot!! it took a ridiculous time and yelling at my poor friend/beta to figure out and I was praying that people would get interested in how it was playing out, especially with all the romance happening on the side. it's so hard to balance that out. y'know.

I'm so glad you enjoyed both the politics and the relationship being developed!!! it's hard to balance between the two, I find, and I was wondering if one side might overwhelm the other, so it's reassuring to hear that both parts were good for a reader!!

and ugh I know what you mean - taochen is such a fuckin... electric and intense relationship and they are so fun but also frustrating to write because of their unpredictability and tension. thank you so much for the sweet comment, lovely~!!

Okay woooooow I don't know where to begin with this.
First of all ChenTao. 30k ChenTao.30K HISTORICAL AU CHENTAO I LIVE.
The world building in this was amazing and the characterization is my favorite part.I love your bratty-dominant-pretends he doesn't care but lbr he does- Chen and Tao with all his strength and power and playfullness and need to please. It's basically my favorite Chentao dynamic.
That ending has me craving more, this was a long-ass fic but feels too short which I mean as a compliment.

I find worldbuilding so hard like are these ideas getting across well and are readers understanding what's happening, y'know. sobs. thank you for enjoying it. and UGH YES, taochen's dynamics are so fucking good I couldn't resist playing around with it. tsundere!chenchen is a trope I'm a fuckin sucker for ngl... just frowning and pretending he Doesn't Care about people but actually he's a fuckin bleeding heart on the inside. so good.

AS FOR THE ENDING, JESUS, U WANT MORE... that would be such a long-ass sequel of tao crushing kris' poor empire to dust... IT'S FUN TO IMAGINE THO [dreamy sigh] there's just something so appealing in making chinaline royalty, man. it's hard to not wanna write about them.

This is amazing! Usually I avoid long fic but the plot and dynamics are totally astounding and enraptured my attention thruout. Now I am so curious to know how Chen and Tao relationship wld change once Tao is back to his rightful position!!!!

thank you so much for the comment!! indeed long fics are defs and investment and you don't wanna be disappointed once you get into one, so I'm super glad you don't regret clicking on this and reading it all the way till the end <3 the ending is defs a cliffhanger of 'now what?' isn't it, haha - I like to think chen just gets even more possessive, now that he has to share his prince with everyone else. tao loves the attention tho, he just has to dote on jongdae once in a while so jongdae doesn't get to >:I about not being speshul.
