i also don't know what to think about beyoncé's video tbh. i mean, it's good that she does what she wants haha
i still have to listen to the album - i'm lazy as fuck - but my friend was like.. disappointed bc she said her latest releases and videos were all about sex and that's a bit frustrating bc the lyrics aren't the best or most important.
i still love beyoncé though :D her voice is like... one of the best ever.

You definitely have to give the album a listen! There are a number of songs related to sexuality and being sexual in the album, but it's not a bad thing at all. In fact, the messages in the "sex-related" songs in the album are all empowering of women and women's sexuality. If someone is going to be singing about women's sexuality, I'd rather it come from someone empowering like Beyonce than a demeaning, misogynist male rapper. Beyonce has also said that this is her most personal album, so really, I appreciate all the songs in the album even more, as she embraces her true self. Also, there are pieces like "Pretty Hurts", "Grown Woman", "Superpower" (among others) that are not "sex-related" in the album, so if anything, I'm sure you'd appreciate those.
