I'm awake - the fire alarm was for real this time
The fire department just let us back into the building. After numerous false alarms, this one was obviously real because of the smoke and smell we encountered when we opened the door, so we returned to get Miss K, our cat.
I guess a fire started in the basement underneath Cosí-someone said because of a pile of clothes left on top of a locker (although I don't recall that those spontaneously combust, so who knows). Everything is OK, but the hall smells bad and the alarm bell continues to ring, so I need to get dressed and get out of here because it is driving me up the wall.
