The scent of wind and sand felt like heaven for him. The drastic change of heat and cold, the sharp wind that bite into his skin, the calm that is chaos on itself, they swept over and wash clean his skin and his soul.
This is his world. He belongs here.
Not this time, though.
He came here to retrieve something important, for the boy, that is. When it’s done, they’ll all go back there, the place that the boy called home.
But he will return, one day, when everything’s done and settled.
He’ll bring his Queen along.
After all, it isn’t home if she’s not here.
