Last night, the wife of a school friend of mine informed us that he passed away just before midnight on July 1.

For several years, he had been bravely battling leukemia.

Two and a half years ago he and I got in touch with each other for the first time since a high school reunion that I attended years ago.

Thank you for our kind condolences. May I mention that it occurs to me that it's of note that he and I met up again just in time to collaborate on his genealogy until he couldn't do so any longer. He then "passed the torch" to me to continue alone. I told him that I would continue research and maintain the tree, and am keeping my promise to him. Again, your thoughtful condolences are greatly and warmly appreciated.
