Noooooooooooooo!

IPod appears to be dying. Keep resetting it, keeps freezing. Now all the music on it has disappeared! No dammit, NO!

It's important to remember to try not to panic.

But how can I live without music?!? HOW?!?

I will be performing emergency surgery later this evening.

This is entirely what's kept me from buying one. I'd quite like an MP3 or portable CD player, and will probably get one in the next few months, but it won't be an ipod - I'm not going to weigh out all that money for such a shonky product...

I know.. but they're so lovely and wonderful when they work!

By the way the surgery seems to have failed. I think the patient is dead on the operating table.

Is it new and is it nano? There were at least three people in the Apple Store in Brent Cross with brand new iPod nanos that had all crashed when I was there yesterday evening.

No it's old I've had it for a long time. It's an old school 20G model.

Naturally I'm thinking this is my chance to update to the 30G video model when I'm in the states.

But... but.. but... MUSIC!!! I NEEEED!!!
