After class, as usual, massu and i went home together. It was quite dark, it might rain. I didn't bring an umbrella because earlier, the sun is shining brightly and the sky is clear. Rain finally started to fall, being aware that i don't have an umbrella, massu opened his umbrella and shared it with me.
"hahaha." he laughed as he looked at me and smiled, his cute dimples showed up. so cute ~
"eh? what's funny?" i turned to him and pinched his chubby cheeks. The rain fell heavier.
"nothing," he said again. "let's hurry or else we might catch a cold." he showed his cute dimples again.
i pouted and looked at him
"what's wrong?" he said.
"i wonder why my bestfriend, despite of having cute dimples, still ..." i pointed and touched his right cheek.
"eh ? only dimples? what about my face? aren't i cute?" with puppy eyes he said.
"you're not cute ! it's just that you have cute dimples..." i said while trying to avoid his eyes.
"meaniiie !"
"is telling the truth a bad thing to do?"
"well..."
At that moment we stopped, i don't know what's gotten into this baka, why am i even with this man, worst being bestfriends with him, it doesn't really hurt but ... well i guess this is good enough, we're both idiots after all.
"i'm hungry, let's eat gyoza~" he said.
Our only something in commmon, we love to eat. No matter what, where, when, as long as there is food and it is edible we will eat it.
"ooh~ there's a yummy newly opened store near here!"
"hontou ni?"
"let's go there~ my treat"
"you're really something ne ? when it comes to food you're --"
"look who's talking." i pinched his cheeks again, but a little gentler this time. Massu held my hand and said "let's run, i'm hungry"
"ok~" we run, run and run until we finally reached the shop. He picked the table and chose to sit near the window.
"ne, chini there's something i want to tell you"
the waiter suddenly approached us so i didn't had the chance to talk about it more.
we ate , ate , and ate until we can't eat any more.
"i'm full~" he said cutely.
"yeah ~ you're a fool. hahaha" i said with a sarcastic voice.
we went back to the road that will separate us, it's still far but loneliness suddenly came to me. He putted his arm around me, i loked at him with a confused face.
"the rain, it's getting heavier, so stay close to me."
the atmosphere became like i don't know, like weird. waaah! what's with this?
"ok."
finally the road where massu and i will finally separate came.
"goodbye for now, ne ?"
"let me walk you home ~"
"eh?"
"you don't have an umbrella."
"sou ka, ok."
In the nearby street, people are glaring ut us, yeah, glaring and not just looking. hahaha, we looked like lovers ne? is it my imagination or just what my heart wanted to feel? we've been friends since birth, but this is the only time where i feeled this awkwardness.
'ne, massu what would you do if the world disappears tomorrow?" i unconsciously asked. he didn't say anything in response, he just smiled at me, showed his dimples, i can feel his arms tighter around me.
"ano chini .." the rain suddenly stopped when he said my name.
"what?"
"the thing i wanted to tell you ..." we stopped walking, he looked at me straight in the face.Great, now it's really awkward, i'd never saw his face like this, so much serious.
"huh?" i smiled.
"i can;t hold this anymore .. i , ano .. i ." he stammered
"i?" my heart skipped a beat, waaa~ i don't want this! Random things came into my mind.
"iwanttoknowwhereyouboughtthedeliciouslookingbreadyouatethislunch." he said fastly, i don't know why but i felt disappointed, really disappointed. Without thinking, i ran away from him, not going to my house but to somewhere i don't know, tears were falling in my eyes. It really hurts, i've been expecting too much, he's really a baka.
"idiot! why did you run?" he said while panting fastly, so he followed me, tears are still falling, i didn't notice that we're in a park, only the two of us.
I smiled and looked at him
"nothing, gomen ne,i can go home along." in that cold afternoon, i felt some warmth, massu is hugging me. My heart skipped a beat last time, now its thumping really fast.
"hontou ni gomen, i , i don't know how to tell you .." the rain started to fall again, little by little,..."i don't know what to feel, i'm confused." he continued. "i'm just joking earlier, right words won't come out .. ano , eto, DAISUKI !" he stared at me, i stared at hime, he doesn't look like he's joking, but he looks like joking, i don't know~~~~~~~!
