Luke, honey...you're wrong. He is *SO* you're type. And I'm going to wait patiently while you figure that out.
Reid is all kinds of cute with his "plan." And he's right, Luke won't be able to resist him.
What I love most about this fic (apart from your incredible use of imagery) is the journey of self discovery that Reid is on and that he's accepting it for what it is. He's drawn to Luke, and he's not fighting it. It's clear that he's uncertain about the physical:
Reid’s mind was caught in the space between Luke’s lips, in the faint eddies of flowing breath. It remembered the softness, the warmth. It wondered…if he could…when the time came… but he's completely accepting of the emotional need he has for Luke.
I love the metaphors of realignment and reorganization. I can only imagine how disconcerting it would be for a previously avowed straght person to find themselves attracted to one particular person of the same sex (or vice versa, for that matter). I loved this part: Don’t
( ... )
*hugs* I am so, so happy that you're back. I've missed this story<3!
But, uhm, not cool. Noah?! Seriously?! And the “Wow. Now that I definitely don’t remember. Well, you certainly don’t have anything to worry about - even if you were the last man in Oakdale you’d be safe from my advances. Trust me, you’re pretty much the opposite of my type.”...
*Deep, dramatic sigh* I feel for Reid. But, then again, it's not like Luke knows that Reid is interested in him...
Welcome back hun you were missed...my poor baby Reid and damn you noah..You have no idea how much i effing hate noah and omg i feel really bad for reid but you have never fail me before so it's all good!!! oh and i really love the long chapter thanks for sharing!!!
Heard Luke’s brightened voice: “Wow. Now that I definitely don’t remember. Well, you certainly don’t have anything to worry about - even if you were the last man in Oakdale you’d be safe from my advances. Trust me, you’re pretty much the opposite of my type.” Luke’s easy smile lightened his face.
... must you break my heart with things like this, huh? Eeeeevil. But well, we all know that Reid is actually totally Luke's type, so I guess I'm okay with waiting a little while until he figures that out too. ;)
