Once again, you've left me speechless. You really gave us an astounding glimpse into Luke's mind; I don't think I have EVER been in that deep before. Its dark, intense, brilliant, inspiring.

He did finally (almost) believe that he was worthy of Reid’s love, that he could give as much as he received. But deep down, in the dank inner chambers, did he believe that what they had could survive the elements? That their relationship could outlast squalls and zombies - especially if Luke let his guard down, his attention slip? Because if he relaxed his grip, wouldn’t their connection vanish? Hadn’t it already?

This. This moved me and touched me ten times over. It was so beautiful and articulate. Once again, I thought I was spying on a Luke; like I shouldn't be watching but I can't turn away. Thank you for allowing us to go in so deep. I think it's going to make the final moments of this story all the more meaningful --and all the more beautiful.

And once again, your comment has left me speechless (and blushing like a Luke). <3

wow. I am so glad I got caught up on this story that I started just yesterday. I read it surreptitiously this morning, at work.

But since I read incredible passages several times before moving on - it will be wonderful to read it all again when you post the final chapter.

And I have to get back to wall painting during the wait for your next post.

I'll try not to make you watch paint dry for too long :)

Thank you so much for reading! Hope the porny bits didn't make work too awkward. And I guess its a good thing you didn't find this story until now - other poor readers have had it stretched over two and a half months!

yes, I work with a bunch of guys and they kept coming into my office to ask my advice. I couldn't put my smartphone down, (especially for the porny bits that Luke reveled in) unless I heard footsteps. I am even rereading it some tonight. I, like other readers, am intrigued by your ingenious use of italics. Very rich and full of clarification.

How inconsiderate of your coworkers :) Glad you like the italics - have to admit, it's lovely being able to use such a device.

Speaking of rereading...not that I'm a perfectionist or anything (who, me?), but I just corrected a glaring typo in Reid's last line in chapter 14....

(and I realized I've actually been writing this story for three and a half months, not two (holy cow!))

This was amazing as usual! I love that Luke is going after Reid. I am so glad that Luke didn't drink.

Thanks for this.

Thanks! It made sense for Luke to be tempted, but there are few things I enjoy less in fiction than having to witness an alcoholic falling off the wagon. It would break my heart too much to do that to Luke.
