Glad to hear that things are shaping up!

I can kind of empathize with what your uncle is going through - it's a natural impulse to want to always be doing -something- to improve one's situation, even if there isn't actually anything to do. Rationally, it might make no sense, but it's hard to convince one's emotions of that, and it's hard to be patient when everything seems (or in this case, is) so vitally important.

You need to tell me what the title of this Robo-Raver film is. Right. Now.

I went to a screening the other night that I'm sure would have been up your alley: a wide-ranging medley of clips from VHS tapes found in thrift stores, garage sales, and in at least one case, trash cans. Watch the trailers, here, but understand that they don't even begin to cover the depths of depravity that these videos sink to. I laughed raucously for the entire duration, but spent the next day or so slightly depressed, trying to coalesce my concept of a generally good and beautiful world with the fact that these things actually -exist-.

Robo raver film = Vibrations and it has Christina Applegate in it. Also it features the Utah Saints and CYBERSTORM (aka. the guy in the movie who becomes Mr. Roboto. No, he's not a real artist. Yes, it's as funny as it sounds ( ... )
