Benny's "type"
I know I should have better things to do at the wee hours of early morning, like sleeping, but I have to ponder about Benny's sexual kinks. And I've come to the conclusion that our beloved Benton Fraser has a type.

I think you make a very good point there that Fraser has a typoe and Ray fits that type very well. Not only that unlike the other wxamples Ray oushes Benny for his own good. He doesn't push him to commit blackmail ir complain about his do-gooding or take advantage of him at emotionally vulnerbale times. Ray is there all the time for Fraser (unlike you could argue the others). Fraser sufffers in love, we've seen it with Victoria but Ray would be nothing but good for him.

And Benny doesn't need a woman with a vagina anyway ;-) But yes he'll relaise eventually that what he was needing/looking for was there under his nose all along. For a clever guy he can be obtuse.

To be fair, it's hard to see right under your nose, so I suppose we can excuse his slow uptake. He can make it up to us by lots of smexing once the light dawns on him.

Oh yes, Ray will manfully put up with the clinging and mutter about how he hasn't any personal space anymore, but secretly (or not so secretly) love every minute of it.
