at the moment im not sleeping very well and when i do i have really distressing dreams.

hmmm how much sleep are you getting regularly in one sleep? and when you wake up, is it ever abruptly?

if you can get the whole 8 hours of sleep thing, you will usually not remember the dreams you have because the sleep cycle thing completes and u go from light sleep -> deep sleep -> light sleep. and it's within the transition from deep to light that you stop dreaming. a short transition can mean that you wake up during a dream.
also waking up abruptly may help you forget that you dreamt at all. sudden change in your mental state such as becoming alert in a short period will purge some short term memories, usually your dreams if this happens when you wake up.

perhaps you should practice lucid dreaming, so that you can control your dreams when they become distressing. yes, apparently it's something you can learn.

hahaha,u sure that part about your dad being gay was a dream rofl.

you were in my dream last night, as well as 2 spider/scorpions the size of large crabs. they were soft shelled and kept fighting this real smaller scorpion, they killed it and ate it. i was watching this from the top of a large flight of stairs, once they'd finished eating the scorion they came for me.
