SCREWED!!

uh oh. i am in soo much trouble. k so i talked to mike today and he said he'll teach me to surf tomorrow.. awesome right? BUT there is a problem. ya see, maine water is FREEZING and I DONT HAVE A WETSUIT. therefore, i am going to freeze to death. any suggestions???

After training at Bethesda at 6 am for an entire summer, I am very familiar with freezing water. However, I think you are dealing with a different kind of freezing water. So, I say, wear the suit you have. Since you're just surfing, not swimming, wear a t-shirt over your suit, preferably a tight one, so it doesnt weigh you down. If you can, wear shorts (that will stay up when wet). If you can (idk anything about sufing so idk if this is feasible) wear something shoe-like (heat escapes through your feet). If you don't think this will work, ask Mike what he's wearing/if he can lend you a wetsuit. And above all, remember that when you get in, it will be freezing. Almost intolerable. But just stay in and push through it and you'll adjust (or get frostbite, whichever comes first....jk). Good luck!
