sometimes i look around me and see everything that's going on, and that has gone on, and that will likely be in the future, and i wonder how anybody could have optimism in an existance that is in the state that this one has become. and then i look to you, and i see that even amidst everything, all it takes is intellect and wit and compassion to find a place in the world where you can carve your life story, find your companions, and live things out by a means of happiness gained on your own terms. i like you, jacqueline. and i'm glad you don't feel a need to justify yourself or anything concerning you. because the real people, the ones who are happy, never have to give reasons or excuses. they just are, and that's all they need to say. people can't copy that. and i hope people can't take that away.
