what do you expect from somsone who's personality is basically represented in her forehead: big, obnoxious, out of place, shouldn't be exposed, and just all over the goddamn place :) she came up with the ANTM show with that pathetic of an excuse woman Janice. Yech. there's a show that i forgot what its called, its on some higher up channel, and its about "designers" making clothes or so and the last one gets to work for Saks fifth avenue private line or something.
Are you kidding??? I LOVE Janice. She's plastic-fantastic! I'd like the show a lot more if she'd have more than just 1 line in it. But it's the behind the scenes that I want, not stuid drama.
I've seen that. It's just one episode of "Making it". I think it's Canadian produced and they got the right guy in the end. He could draw, dammit. But my heart forever belongs to PR.
As if you are talking about this show! I love ANTM but I havent had cable for a while...caught an episode of this season yesterday.
What bugs me is whan I start talking about the girls...evaluating them and all... soooo often people tell me that I am being too cruel...ITS JUST THE TRUTH!! I had a beautiful beautiful 5'10" thin friend and she had gotten out of the modeling industry before I met her. Another girl was trying to get her to go back into it and she said that she wasnt model material. I said to her "Yeah you are too "fat" for the industry and your boobs are too big." She looked at me and said: "THANKYOU! Finally someone who understands!"
Oh, I watch it religiously. It can't be helped, not to mention that I don't want any cure. I think all of the girls in this season are boring and uninteresting, if not ugly. Last seasons was the best girls. Now, it's just some rejects.
Skinny is high fashion priority, there are other kinds too. I personally think that couture looks better on skinny people, but there are other sides to modelling.
Even though discussing weight is a big taboo I think it's okay to talk about it if people are involved in it professionally. If you job is to look good, well, of course other people are going to judge you. I don't flip when people tell me I can't draw, or that my skills are lacking, or I need to work on plans. It's called REALITY.
However, I think that muscular girls look better in real life. Strength and power that's totally hot. That's why I try lift weights rather than drop some. haha... Looks obviously not my first priority.
I agree that people get testy when you say that so and so famous person is getting bigger...well it's their job to look good and trust me, if it were my job I would be working at it all the time. It's not my job. Animation is. I get told how bad I am at it all the time and then people get upset when I say I dont think a drawing is very good. :|
"However, I think that muscular girls look better in real life. Strength and power that's totally hot." - why does that seem stereotypically Russian? >_
