From an old blog dated July 5, 2003

...the streets of this uninteresting strange city. City is not a very good word. I can compare it better to a passenger on an airplane sitting next to you. You remain seated so closely for hours perfectly aware of each other's presence, yet oblivious to each other's lives. Once you land you'll never see each ( Read more... )

At the end of the month I will be going back to Ottawa in Ontario (still Canada). I lived there for 8 years, but moved out West to find a job and spend time with my dad. I didn't know what I was doing, so I had no expectations. I like the life that I have right now and it seems just when I get comfortable I have to switch places and start all over again. It doesn't mean that it's bad, though.

I wish to move somewhere more exciting. One of my dreams is just to pick up a ticket and go some place I know nothing about, where I don't know anybody and have no plans. Make a decision on 2 minutes and just fly away. But not now...

I have to admit that I envy people who live in Europe very much, even though I like North America.

Thank you for the explanation. I hope you will write in English too, when you type in Russian in future. I do not think that you have to envy people who live in Europe. It is a different culture, but I think Northern America has great opportunities too. All the best for the move to Ottawa. That will be a big challenge.

Thanks for well-wishing. Ohhh... it's happens very often in my life, I should be immune to it by now, yet I'm not.

You don't have to worry about me switching to Russian completely. I love writing in English so I'll keep doing that. My Russian is a bit strange. It's almost like second language for me now. If I'll write in Russian it wouldn't be a lot, just to see if I can still compose complete sentences. haha... very sad, but I'm super self-conscious when I write in Russian and it's only been 10 years since I left that country.

I explained a bit above. I hope you don't mind not having a separate entry.

P.S. I should probably start typing in Russian again if I ever plan on learning that. Your English kicks ASS, though. Really cool.
