fic: the week we almost lived dangerously (disney rpf, demi/selena)

May 26, 2009 22:04

title: the week we almost lived dangerously
fandom: Disney RPF
rating: PG
pairing: Demi/Selena
summary: High school AU. Demi pines, Selena's oblivious, and the plot is clichéd.
notes: This was supposed to be a ficlet-type thing, it just turned into 5,000 words. For all intents and purposes, it's still just a sketch.

Demi cheers in her spare time. )

rpf: disney: demi/selena, type: gen, demi lovato, selena gomez, length: 4k-5.5k, type: femslash, rpf: disney, rating: all audiences, rpf

I love long fics!
And this was so easy reading and entertaining. I really liked their relationship and all the pairings, although I do prefer Taylor/Miley rather than Miley/Nick and Joe/Taylor.
I can totally imagine Miley being a cheerleader, but I think Demi's kinda dark to be one, but still cool enough for it.

Great writing!
Will there be more?

I used those particular side pairings because I wasn't going to focus on any of them per se. Since they've happened in real life, they're less jarring when they pop up in an AU, you know? Easier to believe without build-up.

And yeah, totally agree about Demi, hence the explanation at the beginning. I see her as a Peyton Sawyer (from One Tree Hill) type in this universe (the fic's universe, I mean).

I'm glad you enjoyed the story despite that, though, and thanks for commenting! As to whether there'll be more, I really couldn't say, LOL. I'll definitely be writing more Demi/Selena, though. :)

This is fantastic. First off, I love how it kind of comes full circle with the mention of cheering at the beginning and the end. When authors do that they always leave me feeling satisfied and complete (of course that's when it's done right, which you definitely did). I just love the idea that it comes full circle in a way.

The Demi voice you have here is incredible and so prefect. And I love her friendship with Joe and the fact that he just knows her so well and their conversations were so natural and cute and fun to read.

The end was so perfect with Selena kind of knowing and kissing her and Demi being worried it wasn't really what Selena wanted. So adorable.
