Meryl and Charlie not winning the FD and not winning bronze is RIDICULOUS.
Not to mention I think Khokhlova/Novitski are the best example of ice dance politics I've ever seen. Domstabs are injured and a question mark so suddenly the Russians throw their full support behind them, they're the hottest thing on ice...all of a sudden, Domstabs back, not a question mark, sorry K/N, back to where you were. I kind of feel badly for them.
I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who thought Meryl and Charlie had the skate of the night. They made me cry, they were so awesome. After Four Continents I thought maybe the judges were actually going to give them a chance and judge what they saw on the ice, but apparently not.
And yeah, I have to agree about K/N, although I was basically so blinded by rage that I didn't even really watch their free dance. And if DomStabs hadn't been back, I think K/N would have medaled for sure, even though that would have made even less sense than DomStabs winning at this point. (And from what I saw, K/N should have been behind Kerrs, anyway.) I guess going three for three in having the best performances win their disciplines is overrated and far too much to ask for.
Yeah, Tosca is probably one of my least favorite B/A programs. (Though not as bad as That's Entertainment, which is only my icon because the costumes were pretty.) And yet, it was still better than DomStabs. The judges just can't handle a dance podium without Russians, can they? Because honestly? It should have been the formerly-of-Canton trio, which is the podium I've been waiting FOREVER to see.

Everyone else stank pretty much except them and the Kerrs. I almost fell asleep during a bunch of FDs since I was so damned bored.
Kerrs wuzrobbed. As usual. I am shocked they are so happy and excited and perky all the time. I'd be deflated.
