This study is ridiculous

The difference between you and I, though, is that you HAVE a year and a half worth of articles and graphics published under that name. And I'm sure potential employers and admissions officers in the future will understand if the name is different, but it is so nice that everything can be matchy matchy.

You know, maybe I should just train my kids to tell their teachers: "Mommy's last name is Ditzler, but Daddy's last name is McGookey like mine. But that's okay, because we're a family!" (Okay, I am unintentionally wibbly at that, omg.)

I think the most annoying prospect of changing my name was the fact that I had a nice, established gmail address... that, and apparently the secretary of state is bitches about it. (You have to go to like, three different offices to make a name change happen. Social security, Secretary of State, and all the banks and insurance companies, etc. It was a lot of work I didn't want to deal with.)

...I didn't mean to get all up in your rant. <3

I signed it with my maiden name.
