actually pantene has: water, cyclopentasiloxane, stearamidopropyl dimenthaline, cetyl alchohol, quaternuim 18, stearyl alchohol, dimenthicone, peg2m, polysorbate 60, cetearyl alcholol, benzyl alchohol, oleyl alchohol, glycerin stearate, hudroxyethylcellulose, fragrance, panthenyl ethyl ether, citric acid, Adta, panthenol, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone

so it in fact does not contain placentas

i think by coats she means it basically adds a layer of pantene to the hair that wont wash out. therefore building a coat
