i would like tutorials on just doing diffrent things on my lj but i dont know if that is what you mean

Probably an s2 tutorial would be nice soon. But you probably won't do it, cause s2 is like, "use at your own risk"

Hah it's not cause it's "use at your own risk" it's because I don't know anything about S2 ;) That's why.

how about a tutorial on doing image mapping for a free account? with a generator style layout. I have one like I'm talking about now on my journal bu tI didn't create it. I was wondering there is any kinda base style or anything for that type of thing.

There's really no way to make a generic image map kind of thing, but there is an image map creator that is FABULOUSLY easy to use:

You can either do it on the web or download the program. <3

heh I can't make sense outta what I said myself. The problem with the image mapping is the actual HTML code it self and where to put it and such.

TELL ME ABOUT IT! >.<

I can easlily place them in a free layout with a sidebar, but that's about it. If you put them just as a header, it doesn't work so good. ;(

Free layout styles, I still haven't gotten any help on why it wouldn't work for me. :(

Because you don't have a paid account. CS makes paid account styles.

CS actually makes layouts for free LJ users now.

I read your post, but all you said is, "It doesn't look right." I need more information.

Could you install it or let me know what it was doing?

I can share what I'm about to do just base on experience.

You don't have to give an S2 "how to" but do give a small tut as to how to install one of the S2 styles. Maybe just show where they have to add the image as well since you're offering what looks like a "base" style.

Um, a simple how to install a free user layout. I know it seems redundant but I know a lot of people who have no clue as to what they are doing because they are just that new to Live Journal.

Hm... I noticed that the instruction on the free accounts need to be a bit more detailed. What style to use with it, whether or not they should have a website on their profile, that will help get rid of a lot of the "dumb" questions that you may get over and over and over again.

I know it's not much but that is all I can think of.
