Summary: Shim Changmin was absolutely fascinated with a boy named Park Yoochun. He was slowly being drawn into him and he realizes that maybe it wasn't just fascination after all.
Shim Changmin was absolutely fascinated with Park Yoochun. The kid had captivated the popular jock ever since he stepped into school. Changmin observed that the kid always ate ice cream with a fork, wore colorful neon socks, read books upside down and when asked why he would always reply with a the book is speaking to me. Shh. Changmin was absolutely entranced by his uniqueness.
Changmin’s friends and almost the entire student body kept a safe distance away from him. It’s not because he was mean or anything it was just that Park Yoochun was weird. Some students even though his weirdness was contagious. Changmin’s fascination with Yoochun completely blocked out his ears to any rumors.
Even though Park Yoochun was weird, his small group of friends consisted of the most popular people in school. His friends included Jung Yunho who was the basketball team’s captain and boyfriend to Kim Jaejoong who was, as he liked to call it, soulmates with Yoochun. Jaejoong was an art major that excelled in acting, singing and painting, many girls swoon over him but his heart belongs to the basketball captain. And last but not least Yoochun was friend with the soccer team’s striker - Kim Junsu.
Changmin and the entire student population had no idea why the most popular people would become friends with someone that occasionally cross dressed and wore neon socks. It was as though there was a magnetic field around him that naturally pulled people’s interest towards him. Changmin was starting to feel the pull.
He knew he was screwed when the teacher put him together with him on cleaning duty.

“Park Yoochun, Shim Changmin. The both of you are on cleaning duty today.” The teacher says as she points at Changmin and Yoochun with her long manicured fingernail. Whispers of excitement from the students reverberate around the classroom, as they are happy they don’t have to stay back to clean.
Changmin gapes at his teacher. Changmin turns to look at Yoochun but the boy is too immersed in fixing his bright orange neon socks. He turns back and stares at the teacher.
“Now, now young man.” The teacher said as she looked pointedly at Changmin. “ Don’t give me that sour ugly face. I’m sure Park ssi will assist you very well in cleaning.” Changmin swore he saw the teacher smirk. “Okay class dismissed.” The teacher and students filed out of the classroom hurriedly, leaving a very awkward Changmin behind.
One of Changmin’s friends went up to him and slapped his shoulder. “Good luck man.”
“So tallie. Want to clean or not?” Changmin stood up and looked behind him and saw Yoochun handing him a broom.
“Err, err okay.” Changmin took the broom and mentally slapped himself. Way to go Changmin. Great first impression… wait…. Tallie?”
Changmin was too lost in his thoughts to realize that he kept sweeping the same area over and over again. His eyes weren’t even focused on the broom. Yoochun saw this and he threw a paper ball at him. Changmin snapped out of his daze.
“Tallie I think you missed a spot.” Yoochun winks at him and continues sorting the recycling basket.
Changmin’s face flushes and he realizes that he’s been sweeping the broom back and forth on the same space. He lowers his head and continues his sweeping, hoping that Yoochun didn’t see the blush.
Maybe Changmin, just maybe Changmin thought it wasn’t just fascination.

Changmin shivered and pulled his coat closer. He had just finished cleaning the classroom and he was now standing at the bus stop with Yoochun. And it was just their luck that it happened to be raining.
Changmin looked at Yoochun to see how he was faring with the cold. The said man was visibly shivering with his bangs plastered to his forehead because of the wind that had blown the rain in. It doesn’t seem like he brought a jacket. Changmin paused his thoughts for a moment and questioned the absurdity of it. Of course he doesn’t you idiot! If he did would he be shivering?” Changmin shook his head to clear his thoughts.
Being the gentleman that he was not Changmin took off his coat and draped it over Yoochun. Yoochun looked up at Changmin with a confused face. He just replied with a “You need it more than I do.”.

Changmin yawned and headed over to the canteen. He settled in at his usual table and listened to his friends ramble about their day. Suddenly he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned and his cheek met a pair of lips. Then a coat fell in his lap along with a note. Changmin opened the note.
Hey tallie!
Thanks for your coat. It kept me from freezing my ass off. You’re such a kind person. ☺ Well, I’ve returned the coat to you now. Oh and don’t worry! I washed it. Well my mom did but you get my point. Have I mentioned your coat smells really nice? And since its your coat I’m guessing you smell really nice too. I’m rambling again…. Oh dear... Anyways thanks for the coat again! If there’s anything I could do to repay your fluffy kindness please tell me, I wouldn’t hesitate to do it.
From Park Yoochun xoxoxo
P.S Have I told you you’re really handsome?
Changmin blushed and chuckled at the note. He looked up and saw his friends gaping at him. He just shrugged and continued eating.

Changmin sighed as he jogged to the bus stop. Football practice had ended late and his mom was going to kill him. Just as he was reaching the bus stop he spotted Yoochun at the bus stop. He wondered what the boy was doing there. He slowed his steps and stood next to Yoochun.
Changmin cleared his throat. “Thanks for washing my coat.”
“No problem.”
Changmin wasn’t looking at Yoochun. “So… What are you doing here so late?”
“Oh I just needed to finish up my community and service hours so I helped out at the library. I’m guessing you had practice?”
Changmin looked at Yoochun. “Yeah…”
Yoochun stared right back at him. “Umm… Do you want to go get some coffee or something?”
Changmin chuckled. “Are you asking me out?”
Yoochun raised an eyebrow at him. “Are you saying you’re not interested?”
Changmin shook his head. His eyes were sparkling with amusement. “I would love to. But another day okay? Practice ended late and I need to get home before my mom kills me. Oh look my bus.” Changmin flagged for the bus. He looked at Yoochun’s disappointed face. Just as he was about to get on the bus he pecked Yoochun’s lips. He didn’t know where his boldness came from. “I said another day, don’t look too sad okay?” He didn’t wait for Yoochun’s answer and hopped on the bus leaving a very red faced Yoochun behind.
