see, I did enjoy Inception. It didn't live up to the hype and I still don't understand how it garnered all the award nominations it did, but I thought it was fun but not groundbreaking.

And dear LORD, the whole TDKR thing is just a mess. It's like Inception 2.0 and they whitewashed Talia and he'll probably make Catwoman suck etc. ugh. not excited at all.

I admit I love his movies, but there's no denying he's got a lady problem. Although I have this whole theory about TDK and how it's not even about Batman, it's about the triangular dynamic of Dent, Gordon and the Joker and Batman's just sort of a catalyst and Dent is the romantic lead and Gordon's the hero and the Joker's the villain and...well, it's a thing.

But either way, blaming an actor for the way a role is written/costumed/anything is just rigoddamndiculous. But...it's ONTD and Tumblr. :P

Ooh, I like that theory of TDK a lot! And yeah, I also like a lot of directors/writers who have lady problems (lol Aaron Sorkin) or have other minority issues in their work. Like I said, I did like Inception and I loved the Prestige, but I feel like Nolan is a much better director than writer and I think if he got someone to like idk fine tune his female characters, I'd like him a lot more.

and ugh yes, i don't really care for anne hathaway, but seriously? who gives a shit when her character is mostly likely going to be solely around in order to make batman look better and move the action along? she probably won't have an interesting character arc or ANYTHING so ugh. i wish people would talk about the lack of decent female characters in nolan's films instead of his casting choices.

AND RIGHT? Honestly, I'm glad it's Anne Hathaway (who I do like, but she's not a favorite of mine) rather than an actress I adore like Rachel Weisz or someone because then I won't be as disappointed when the role is inevitably shit.

Even though omg we really should complain about his casting choices, but just because he is such a whitewasher like first Ra's Al Ghul and if the rumors are right, Marion fucking Cotillard as Talia who is of fucking Chinese and unknown Arabic descent like come. on. And also Tom Hardy who I do like as Bane who is Latino and like ugh.

But no ugh Catwoman is going to be such shit and it makes me sad. :(

RIGHT? Like, do not get me wrong, I really like both Marion and Tom, but especially after Inception, it's not like either of them are unknowns who are desperate for work, especially in their home countries where they're both A-listers. Tom has a shitload of movies coming out this year and next thanks to his breakout in Inception and Marion has an Oscar and is still working in both Hollywood and France. But lol no, it would just be too hard to find POCs who can play the roles ugh. -___-
