Good luck on training Cinder. I tried, but I think I lacked the patience he needed, and the ability to prove that I'm not 8his*, but he is *mine*.

I imagine you will have more luck than I will.

Happy Holidays!

If you remind me, I will email you my uncle's "Healthy Waffles?!?!" recipe. It's really tasty, AND it includes wheat bran, wheat germ, whole wheat flour, and nuts. (Nuts optional if they make you die or you don't like them.)

Mmmmmmm, the girls who wrote the Veganomicon are coming out with an entirely brunch book at some point in the near future; I'm looking forward to it. There's one or two waffle recipes in the Veganomicon. Also? Just because something is vegan doesn't mean that it's really all that healthy for you. I've known some tubby vegans.

Very true, but most of the Belgian waffle recipes I've found get a lot of fat from eggs and butter. The butter will probably be replaced with veggie fat in vegan recipes, but if the eggs are replaced with less-fatty binders it will probably be a big improvement. ~1.5 eggs per waffle = lots of cholesterol when you're eating two or three waffles a a time.

Yeah, Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World kind of argues against vegan = healthy. But it argues very well that vegan can = very tasty!

The 'rents got me a HEPA filter for the holidays, because I ask for boring presents.

ACTUALLY, the 'rents got you AND Jon a HEPA filter because we're sick and tired of you being sick and tired, and we suspect Jon feels much the same.

Also, while Jon is not hideously allergic to dust mites the way you are, I seriously doubt that inhaling the nasty little critters is good for HIS respiratory tract either.

Clear?
